BAY AREA CALIFORNIA HEADSHOT PORTRAITS: ACTRESS JULIANA FOLK

As a Portrait Photographer I get to meet incredible people all the time and it was no exception when I was introduced and referred to Juliana Folk, to shoot her new Headshot's for her acting portfolio. Julie was one of those woman who light up any room they walk in. Her personality was bigger than life, and super fun, but also very focused on what she wanted to accomplish as an actress. We immediately clicked and I knew we would work well together.

Goofing around with Julie I got her to laugh. It was the perfect moment to take a shot.

“I’m pretty sure my new pictures are getting me more work, I have booked three times the amount of jobs since I started using them!”

To me when shooting Headshot Portraits the location is important, but it's not everything. I am a total natural light junky, so where the sun is placed and if there are clouds out that day, all plays into my location choices. I like it to be an adventure with my clients and it always is. With Julie's photo shoot I had set places I wanted to go, but as we got onto the road we decided to wing it and I'm glad we did. From abandoned buildings to tucked away brooks, we found the perfect spots to capture what was in her head, and with the help of her amazing husband Jeremy we managed to not get arrested when shooting on what we found out was private property. :)

I couldn't be happier with our results and Julie is thriving in her acting career. She even said to me "I'm pretty sure my new pictures are getting me more work, I have booked three times the amount of jobs since I started using them!"

Thanks Juliana for trusting me with your photography needs. Just don't forget the little people when you are kicking it in Hollywood celebrity style! lol

ST. HELENA CALIFORNIA WEDDING: TYLER & JENNA

There are quite a few perks that come with being a California based wedding photographer...

And one of them is being located 20 min away from Napa Valley. Not only am I a wine and cheese snob, but I am in love with the wine country, and besides France and Italy so far there is nowhere that can compare to Napa Valley.

These two love birds have a good old time with each other in beautiful St. Helena.

This last wedding I shot in St. Helena was particularly special to me because Jenna Beck the bride to be was a prior portrait client of mine who I met through a very dear friend Lamar Engel. What made it amazing was the fact that it was her parents 40th wedding anniversary and yes it was Valentines Day. Tyler and Jenna are amazing in every way, but the best thing about them is their heart for their kids Ethan and Valentina. As a father of four I just love that about them. So when she asked me to shoot their wedding I was so excited and couldn't wait to get back out to St. Helena.

Wow you couldn't ask for a more gorgeous family!

I have to say this was the chillest wedding I have ever shot. Most of the day we had to improvise and fly by the seat of our pants, from scheduling to location restrictions, but all in all we got some amazing shots and everyone seemed to enjoy our service.

I was recapping Tyler & Jenna's wedding the next day with my right hand man and best friend Mick Sweeney, and we both agreed that our favorite part of the whole entire wedding was when we got to go back to Jenna's parents and drink a glass of wine with just the two of them. We got to see how awesome Tyler really was ad how much he loved Jenna and her family. We could have stayed there all night.

This wedding will go down in the books as one of the funnest weddings I have ever shot. I hope you enjoy this gallery of their wedding.

Until next time......:)
